SUMMARY:Workshop on Bibliometric Review
DESCRIPTION:This workshop introduces bibliometric analysis as a research method for mapping scientific knowledge\, identifying research trends\, and exploring research frontiers using data from major scholarly databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. A step-by-step practical demonstration using Bibliometric and Biblioshiny will be provided.\nNo prior knowledge of R or RStudio is required. Participants will be guided through the installation of R and RStudio and given ready-to-run R codes to perform bibliometric analysis. Sample data will be provided to run the software during the workshop.\nBy the end of the workshop\, participants will be able to:\n\n\nConduct a bibliometric analysis and write a literature review paper on their research topic\n\n\nConfidently run Bibliometric and Biblioshiny using data provided during the workshop\n\n\nInstall and use R\, RStudio\, and Bibliometric independently\n\n\nRun basic R commands without programming expertise\n\n\nInterpret outputs such as publication trends\, citation impact\, collaboration networks\, and thematic maps\n\n\nIntegrate bibliometric findings with qualitative review techniques for publishable academic writing\n\n\nFollow high-quality published papers that will be provided as references for structuring and presenting their own research\n\n\nSpeaker: Amit Kohli \nDr. Amit Kohli is a Sessional Faculty member at Yorkville University since 2019. He has completed postdoctoral research with academic affiliations at the University of Arizona\, USA\, and the University of Calgary\, Canada. He holds a Ph.D. and two Master’s degrees\, with over 20 years of combined academic and industry experience. Dr. Kohli is the recipient of the Best Teacher Award and the Young Scientist Award in recognition of his contributions to teaching and research. He has published approximately 50 research papers in leading international journals from publishers such as Elsevier\, Taylor & Francis\, Springer\, Inderscience\, and Emerald. He has participated in numerous international conferences held in countries including the United Kingdom\, Italy\, the United States\, Japan\, and Canada. Dr. Kohli is also the author of two books and holds two design patents and one utility patent.
