SUMMARY:Research in Action: Writing and Publishing Journal Articles
DESCRIPTION:Our next workshop will welcome Dr. Michelle K. McGinn\, Professor of Educational Studies at Brock University and Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Journal of Higher Education. She is co-editor of The Social Production of Research: Perspectives on Funding and Gender (Routledge)\, and author of 70 scholarly articles and book chapters. She is a keen supporter of residential academic writing retreats and other collaborative writing ventures. Writing for publication involves joining a scholarly conversation with other authors and potential readers. This interactive workshop introduces practical strategies to shape your arguments\, assess potential journal outlets\, craft compelling texts\, and respond to reviewers. Her research\, teaching\, and administrative practice focus on research collaboration\, researcher development\, scholarly writing\, mentorship\, and ethics in academic practice for emerging and established scholars.
